  • Dodge Durango SRT. 6.4 Hemi, 475hp, Sub 13s 1/4 mile, 3 full rows of seats and they even look cool. When you reaaaaally need to SUV every MF in the room, accept no substitute.

  • Baby steps...

  • I thought that too, but it is still quite a bit cheaper than having our shell renovated and... THAT COLOUR!

  • Love that colour! I've seen a similar hue here on a 67 impala fastback. So sweet.

  • Why is the alarm/immobilizer drawing so much current?

  • Leave it there to rust.
If you really want an S type R you can pick working ones up for peanuts right here. But a trip to Specsavers can be even cheaper.

  • Suspect you are right. Costing the journey there and back with a trailer means it is no longer cheap.

I like the rear wheel drive and 190 mph than a pulley change and ecu remap to 500bhp plus. Then find something to drop that lot in to....Or an idea for mashtons mgb.

  • Alternate use of an F1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blOkbOfUU9M

Terrible music, should have just left the car to do the soundtrack.

  • @BRM epic new shell! Colour is amazing.

@Dammit had a dream I bought your Volvo last night, felt really sad when I woke up and realised I hadn't actually.

@James. what sort of American car? Muscle car, truck, station wagon, big sedan? If you want classic and not a bag of rust then it'll work out cheaper in the long run to import from a rust free state in USA eg Cali.

  • Any recommendations for a wheel / tyre place to fit some alloys for me around N or E London or Essex?

There might be some faffing required as the offset is slightly different.

  • ATS in brentwood, tell him hair bear sent you.

  • Make sure it has been in a dry state all the vehiles life, not uncommon to register a vehicle in a dry state after being in a wet state. Not that dry state means that much fucked interior and paintwork.

  • @BRM, thinking about your new shells colour. Would minilites look good with gunmetal grey centres and brushed/ polished rim?

  • I am not really a fan of the polished rims. I reckon darker grey would look great though. The two sets we have are boggo silver. Could paint one set

  • I’m swapping out the wheels on my Forester from 15 to 17.
Google suggests this will be ok but the offset on the old rims is 48, new wheels 55.
What’s possibly involved in getting the new wheels setup aside from tracking?

  • The bigger number on the new wheels means higher offset so more room between wheel and arch but potentially fouling the suspension strut or steering on the inside. 7mm isn’t a big difference though so seems very unlikely that would be an issue.

What’s involved is putting them on and seeing if they fit ok and don’t foul anything.

  • Fitting the Cup wheel and we've run into a problem- the horn wants to use the steering column as an earth, but it's not earthed.

    Anyone run into this issue?

  • All u h8ters....

  • Basically a super rich millennials version of this

  • I wonder if you can still buy those dual horn-style Saxo spoilers.

    Christmas reading sorted

  • Saw an extremely shit hot black 850R in Dulwich this evening. I want one now.

Seemed to have up-rated, drilled rotors and over sized, but mot stupidly contrasting-coloured calipers. Very class. So much want.

  • Thanks! Foresters got new slippers. I put the wheels on. They were ok. I thought it was going to be more complicated (noob).

  • Ha!

Really wanted one of those. A mates dad had a Citroën dealership and so he used to be able to to borrow a the baby 1.4 VTR(?) - can't remember what it was called.

EDIT : it was the Furio

  • The VTR was still a 1.6, but made less power than the VTS.
