That’s a better idea, however the simple plate would allow us to clamp the manifold to the head on the flow bench to see if it genuinely is an upgrade.

Counter proposal from a chap on 911uk is a 5mm thick, T45 adapter plate.
He reckons that won’t change the injector aim enough to be noticeable - is there a way that I can work out the veracity of that assertion?

5mm thick T45 is definitely overkill.
It's going to be hard to visualise the knock on effect of moving the injector, you could make aforementioned adaptor plate in some 5mm thick acrylic but mount the injector on it in the correct place to see where the injector now points?

Speaking of aston martin, I may have found an instant solution for the racer bodywork. going to have a look at this later car. doors and reverse lights are different to ours, but it is still a narrow tunnel car and ready to go.
sensational colour, in my view, but may upset the fia purists - AM sage green (the lighter version)

my first foray into cars will be a strange one, never really liked cars except american ones. everybody wants to put me off them, too big, annoying if you need parts, insurance, but i really don't want to get a car if I'm not gonna enjoy it.
quite a few old chevy blazers come up on eBay for cheepz.
i want something that can carry quite a few people, and that we can throw all the bikes in, but with a touch of redneck.
anybody else see it as an awful idea?

it also realistically means that we could be on track in 2019. exciting
longest build ever. MSc, APC then child are not helpful for car restoration. neither is buying a shitbox to start with.

might need a wheel upgrade tho.
welcome back.

hi dude. let's go pinting soon.
jokes aside, we've got the wheels (minilites)- you don't get much of a choice on b racers. you even need special offsets to meet the correct track.

I had a 1999 Blazer. All the cliches about quality and economy are true, but I liked it.
I picked out the tyre lettering in white for max yank awesomeness points and then rode everywhere with Mobb Deep ripping out of the windows.

Find a GMC Syclone. Make me super jealous.

woop! looks like we have bought that shell. exciting times!

Cool!

Can you sell the old one? To an unsuspecting eBay punter?
-
• #38668
I hope so. anything we get back (red car +/or registration for green car) will come in handy for the inevitable massive costs to finish it.

If you've got the cash go for it.
Cherokee sport might be a practical compromise, as at least you can find parts and can easily insure it. Find a green one and add some wood grain vinyl. Maybe a lift and DIY roof rack with the spare tyre mounted ontop.
(or just import Big Balls)

Drop in the ocean compared to the costs once you start racing it... :)
Absolutely love the colour of the green shell. Nice one mate.

Yep.

I had a few of these 'cos they are cheap. Big thirsty petrol can be LPG'd pain to get a decent size tank. Inside isn't that much bigger that a car tho.

S type R, has an electrical issue or should that be no electrics. Has been worked on and decided that a new wiring loom as well as ECUs. The car is a 55 I think, and sub 100k.....and available for free.
Why is it free, it is in Bosnia. The insurance recovery service just paid out for the car as the car has been partly stripped and with storage charges not worth returning. Currently sat at a friends house. The car has been out in the open sitting for over a year. Would you source a wiring loom and ECU's then fly over to Bosnia and replace the Loom and then drive it back. Or trailer job.
The wiring loom and ECU second hand are going to be an issue.
What would you do?

Look at the fucking size of it next to our UK parking spaces though.
Also, that interior is grimy as fuck. I would want it completely torn out and reupholstered before i ever sat in it.
That's what I suggested - make the adaptor clampy thing in two parts that bolt together, and then sandwich the mounting flange of the plastic manifold onto the head.
