• Why?

I can see no reason that there would be an issue with a battery holding charge. Not as if there is a proximity sensor keeping the car powered up.

  • Because my cars frequently go weeks without being driven.
In these days of alarms and trackers, batteries in stationary cars still have a lot of load on them.

  • Ah lead acid not so good for that, wonder if a large lithium in battery would be better?

In these days cars have bigger batteries or even secondary batteries.

  • Question: Have you yet got tired of the excitement of owning your Aston?

I reckon I could get a decent 4.7 Vantage for the price of my old 911 now and I wonder whether it might be time to swap steering feel and engineering for beauty.

I borrowed one a while back and couldn’t stop looking at it out of the window but I worry that would subside and I’d get fed up of the drive being a bit wooden.

Every time I’ve strayed from 911s in the past I’ve soon returned.
