Hi I just put on the rear rack is better to use inside a plastic bag or waterproof bag so it doesn't get wet and accommodate between the 2 panniers on the back with everything in one bag including a footprint.
If you have one of those ortlieb or other dry bags just loop it around the seat post that olds better and avoids the tent slip away from the bike.
