Would anybody be interested in an Elite Kura direct drive turbo trainer with integrated powermeter.
Sold in original packaging, with a 105 cassette, skewer, tacx handlebar ipad bracket and tacx front wheel riser for... £530?I used this for probably no more than 10 zwift sessions back when my child used to sleep. As she no longer does but instead insists on putting her hands near anything moving I cant see much more use coming out of it from my end.

cross posting this from the zwift thread ;
I am really interested in this zwift stuff. looks good for winter months. what is the best value smart trainer I could use with one? I have a wahoo if that helps.. I also have a bike with a disc brake which may alter suggestions too (ideally I do want a trainer that I can use by removing my rear wheel and directly mounting the bike to it)

Wondering this too. It seems a BKool smart GO is the cheapest option but I don't know how the smart resistance stuff works with a wheel-on (as opposed to direct drive) trainer. I'm using my power meter and a dumb turbo for zwift now, but I'd be interested to see what it's like with a proper 'smart' turbo. I just feel like a wheel-on smart turbo would be subject to wheel slipping when the resistance changed.

What ingenious (read: cheap) things do people use to stand their phone/tablet up at eye-level when on the turbo?
Music sheet stand?

Tablet? Pfft. TV + laptop on bedside table.
There's shit like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqlswUoYdzc

Bought one of these for about £3
Will attach it to a nearby table or front wheel

That's a good idea.
I will need a new way of using zwift soon. What's the cheapest tablet capable of zwifting and do I need lots of extra dongles?
At the moment I use MBP with a garmin dongle and usb cable to connect to Zwift with my Tacx Vortex. The laptop will be in use by my other half so I need to find another option.

I'm using an Amazon fire with dongles to trainerroad. When I can be bothered to trainerroad.
May be worth a look? -

Any recommendations for an ANT+ heart rate monitor strap? My Garmin one has just died.
-
• #1566
Same.
Any that do ant+ and Bluetooth? -

Has it just stopped being detected? I thought my one had died as few weeks ago, turns out when the battery dies you need to short them before you put another one back in, otherwise it carries on being dead. Try flipping the battery over and hold it in for a couple of seconds before putting it in properly. Worked for me.

Remove Garmin pod and attach to Polar Wearlink strap was old solution, the Wearlink + strap apparently has some plastic added to try and stop it being used with garmin pods but can be trimmed to fit.

This. Works fine and hasn’t missed a beat (ha!...) in over a year now.

Wahoo Kickr Snap v2 ... mine has its power readings way off my powertap g3. Like 20 watts+. Is there a way to do advanced spindown without an iOS app? I only do Android?

My 7 year old Tacx Sirius makes a very loud noise when at higher speeds, so warming up on low resistance makes a right racket.
Is this likely something to do with the roller? I don't want/need a new a new turbo so would like to fix if possible...

Actually, I normally run my rear tyre at about 100psi on the turbo - would lower pressure help?
not so much training plans but sessions working towards goals that you pick and choose when to use it, you can also build custom sessions, I find it eases the boredom in the sessions and having that structure on screen as well means less thinking...
