Give or take 2 WRC drivers titles, one WRC constructors title, and WRC rally wins every year of its production, yes.

There's a reason Mk2 Escorts are revered and the Volvo 760 is reviled.

The whole "lardy upper middle class 80s wagon+ turbo + coilover+ rims" is a bit of an anti performance scene. Kind of the point that they are not sporty, or infact that "good" as far as most concerned, but thankfully still a little bit away from the "new age fun with a vintage feel brigade"
