I think £3000 is probably the average spend of the builds, having seen them. With some smart shopping it can be far cheaper, with moneygun.gif it can be whatever you want it to be. I think a few will have nudged 6k.

@mdcc_tester Could you kindly remind us how to order a top cap?

Thanks. I'm aware it was a wide open question. I had a figure for the low end of £2500 in my head so I guess a wasn't too far out.

35mm crabons
SON 28 dyno hub
SON lights
Swarf guardsLooks like rather a lot of £. Maybe I'll go Sora.

Sounds like a load of old cobblers to me: were they trying to flog you an upgrade? :0
I don't see why the cost of one element would dictate the cost of another?
-
• #1586
I'm hoping not the spend the price of an Isen frame on finishing kit.
Or wheels, for that matter.
-
• #1587
It was just to give an approximate order of magnitude to help avoid putting Chris King headset and carbon wheels on a Create fixeh biek.
-
• #1588
My wheels were not nearly that much - Chinese carbon rims, hope hubs and reasonable spokes.

• #1589
they are great wheels! Really enjoying mine.

Party notification!
Anyone and everyone is invited! It is to celebrate Isen coming into being, the first batch being over and the second batch commencing. If anyone with a batch one Isen would be up for me displaying it, that would be blessed.

*RSVP...
Just in case that's going out to people who might be bothered by typos/are designers.
-
• #1592
Did I put that somewhere? No one is getting turned away...
-
• #1593
It's on the flyer. He was pointing out the typo. Which is my fault.
Though it's the least of the issues with the ad really...It's RSVP to get an idea of numbers mainly. Plus presumably fire regulations/health&safety gone mad mean that at some point people will have to stand out side in mid-December if it gets too full.
-
• #1594
If they're designers I doubt the typo will be the first thing they worry about ;)

• #1595
Yeah that text drop shadow, wtf man

Slip in a cheeky milldo and disguise it as a bottle of champers. That'll really get them going!

Slip in a cheeky milldo
Please don't slip it in anywhere

Could you kindly remind us how to order a top cap?
You obviously figured it out for yourself, but for anybody else who doesn't want to trawl through 60+ pages of milldo chat, they're over here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/238654/newest/
