A copper in a van rolled the window down to speak to me in Clapham tonight.

Turned out he just wanted to compliment my bike and find out what it was. Very cordial exchange it was too.

Windy, innit?

Back when I was a courier, in the late 19th century, I had one colleague who was especially lively, and well built, not someone you would want to get in to a fight with. One day he ripped a windscreen wiper off and used it to beat the offending car, another day he got in to an argument with a security guard and turned up back at the office with the guard's jumper in his bag.

Windy af... whole journey transformed into a climb.

Thought tyres could do with a top up, so topped them up from about 40 to 80 psi. Telltale hiss on arriving at work. Coincidence? Probably should have checked for glass beforehand...

Back when I was a courier, in the late 19th century

Riding home from work in a north westerly direction was fun yesterday - massive tailwind. Set a few PBs & got a comment on Strava from someone I passed complimenting me on dropping them. Us two & a load of other cyclists had a bit of a commuter peloton going on up Kirkstall Road (Leeds) in the bus lane with two lanes of stationary cars next to us. Satisfying, & good to see so many people out on bikes!

Cabbing it home last night after a curry with the old man. Cam across a lady cyclist who seemed to be having extreme trouble staying upright. Thought, wow, windier than expected. That is until we pulled alongside and realised she was actually just very, very drunk.

Heading south west last night was utter bullshit.

every time I had to slow at a junction was nearly pushed over by the cunting wind. was holding onto my bars like a vertigo sufferer on a roller coaster.

It wasn't windy, it was the bow wave from my commute home.

Its when you're stood with your left foot down and clipped in with the right and the wind hits you on the left. You feel like you're about to go over tipping point and hit the deck at the front of a line of traffic because you're foot's still clipped in.

Gusterfuck/10 this morning from Hammersmith to central - along the river was interesting.

Literally did this yesterday. I stumbled/leant/fell onto the black cab next to me and he just laughed at me. Luckily didn't hit the deck.

I did laps last night and was in the fecking granny ring on the flat at 200 watts. Ridiculous.

New bike. All lovely. Good ride.

New lock (Krypto Fahg) - shoulder now complaining about the weight of my bag.

I went down like this at a red light in front of a line of cars. The guy behind me rolled his window down and kindly asked if I was ok. He was kind of half talking half pissing himself which weirdly made it less embarrassing.

@kimchi are you the chap who wears a hoodie and slightly wraparound sunglasses (when it's light!) on a flat bar bike?

I cycle from Putney to Hammersmith along the thames path and always see a guys who looks very 'on here'. Could be you!

Ah crap. Got tube in today as I'd left a bike at work and I needed to ride it home.

Bike has no lights on it.

Tube home. Fuck.

Not enjoying the fact the Hyde Park gates by Bayswater station are shut before 4:30 now, kinda ridiculous as it’s so early, though I get that it’s very dark.
Anyone know of a nicer route though that allows me to avoid the road to the next gates by Lancaster Gate? Too many close passes from coaches.
