  • It is not the first time that sexism in cycling has made headlines.

    In 2013, Slovakian cyclist Peter Sagan, the current road race world champion, said sorry for pinching the bottom of a hostess at the end of the Tour of Flanders race.

    Why is okay to have an attractive lady kissing the cheek of the winner, but not okay for Sagan to pinch her arse? Why is the line drawn there? Surely it's sexist to hire an attractive lady whose job as a "hostess" is literally just to stand next to the winner looking nice?

    (Disclaimer: obviously I am not suggesting that what Sagan did is okay)
