  • Looks decent! Nice colour too.

  • How wide are these? I think I use the same tires on my commuter and they’re fine, no grip at all tho.

  • Conti Sport Contact II in 700x42c. They felt pretty grippy hammering it in to work this morning in the wet. Different out in the lanes on leaves and stuff though I bet.

  • Just finished my first roadbike, needs better wheels, those were the only I have with campa body hub

  • Liking this. Paint is really shiny!

  • I’ve alwas liked the look of those and keep nearly putting some 30s on my child-carrier Straggler. Assumed they were crap but interesting to hear otherwise.

  • I’ve exactly one rides experience of them so don’t take my word on it yet :)

  • New frame came in today, from France. 1978 Martelly, owned by Vincent Thorey, winner of the Paris Roubaix amateur in 1986. Sadly he passed away in 2014. Frame is really light weight, tubes are Columbus. I just put on some wheels and bars to see the geo. Will build this up soon. 61cc x 60cc

  • C'est beau !

  • i would like a remove this screw & ultimately both. i don't have a saw of any kind. cut from the outside obviously, but with what?

  • Have you tried to use a flat headed screwdriver to get under the bent end and straighten it out?

  • Buy a cheap junior hacksaw. It'll cost you less than buggering t up

  • Sweet fixie

  • ohh, mine are Continental Cyclocross Sport in 700x35c so a different tire, but still pretty basic and cheap model. These are fine for commuting but I are useless in mud/muddy uphills, leaves, wet grass or anything you'd need grip on.

  • Latest vélo de balade. All city

    A cut-off wheel in your Dremel®, obvs.

  • Excuse the shit pic. Winter-readied my commuter / winter trainer. 24c -> 32c and mudguards.

SKS Commuters were quite okay to put on, haven't done the neatest job but it's fine for now. Did have to file out the slot in the front fender brake nut bracket because it didn't fit, maybe should have just installed #brklss ?

  • @Tijmen I'm not really a retro-grouch but that frame surely deserves a period build! <3 Eroba... shame to use it as a winter hack

  • Thanks Kang for the frame and dat front 3 spé 650C

  • Nice! Black rear wheel and sharpied brake tracks would be my suggestion :)

  • I did look into its history, but never considered it to be something special. Been my daily bike for about 4-5 years now. :\ It's still in pretty good condition though, so I might turn it into a "nice" bike some day. But for now I don't have the space for another wallhanger, so I'm afraid it will continue to be a winterbike. I do store it in a shed overnight, if that's any consolation.

  • sharpied brake tracks ? je ne sais pas ce que c'est...

For the rear: Campag Omega V ? Vélocity V, darck grey CXP12 or someting flat ?

  • I meant permanent marker, sharpie is just the brand . Campa omega v sounds good :)
