  • Stretching doesn't help, if it's properly vascular, it might if it's a nerve impingement. Position can but obviously the ranges are limited and for me I have other issues and aerodynamics to consider. If it gets worse, such that it affects ALL my cycling, like some people find, then I will likely have to opt for surgery, coz I ain't going to start swimming or any shit like that soon.

With a season off the TT bike I'll see what happens when I start again. I may move further forward or something and see what my fitter has to say. If I can get back any losses with other aero changes then I could still be on for my 49.

  • Yarp. Better than freezing my balls off doing a 600k around Wales or something :)

  • It's not the actual crazy narrow Walser with narrow wheel spacing - but I bought it with the hope that it would use basically the same mould so you could rig narrow cranks and there'd be loads of clearance. Luckily I was right and you can run 128mm Q factor single ring no probs, I'm on ~138mm

  • It'll depend on position really - the Shiv is quite short so you might end up quicker if you have a slightly different position. You'd probably need to go P5 to see a material difference.

  • Booking slots are on the site - we've not got any double open paired sessions at the moment but might be able to squeeze one in Feb, just email through the contact form and we can sort something out. You don't have to pair yourselves up though, and there are lots of half sessions available which are on there at the mo (eg. 9th and 16th Jan)

  • Hippy and I are attached at the hip. Yin to his yang. Or the vegetable juice to his beer.

I need to get in touch to ask a few questions. It’s on my list. Cheers.

  • Cheers

    throws credit card at P5

  • I've pulled! I'll get my (three sizes too small) coat.

  • I'm selling my p4 evo if anyone on here is interested before I post on classifieds. It's 58cm and is a DA9000/6800 mix. Can sell with wheels or without

  • Right hive mind, is this going to be any better than my current Dalkiia F1 Zero?

Main thing I notice about my current bike is that it's quite heavy and the cable routing isn't great, and I fancy a change!

  • I gather you have to paint it plain black in order to win a national championship.

  • I'm trying to work out the geometry, as my current bike has a 76 deg seat tube and I have the saddle slammed forward. From what I can find (forums etc) the Trek is more like 74 deg, but I can't find a geometry chart. @xavierdisley - any inside knowledge? Also, where do I get the £50 paint job from?

  • Possibly, pending pictures and price?

  • Looking for 1350 with aksium wheels, 2k with PX trispoke & Disc (both unused)

  • Does anyone fancy a 6800 chainset (172.5mm, 53x36) and a Fibrelyte aero chaining (54t) for £150 posted?

  • Depending on what seatpost you have you might be able to flip it - you can fit either Thompson posts or Bontrager ones (it's 25mm or something from memory, not 23).

Original forks are fine - we had also worn a groove into the chainstay so don't worry about that too. Headset can be replaced with the 1" Cane Creek external one if the current one is a bit dead.

Paint job not available to general public unfortunately lol

  • Thanks for the update. I’ve passed on buying it, so if you can now tell me all the negatives, that would be great!

  • Aha - any reason? Unless it's saving to buy an AeroCoach disc it'll be a bad reason

  • general public

Hmmf! Do you know where you are? This is the friendliest forum on the internet!

  • Oooooo, four VTTA medals have just arrived for me in the post. Which is nice. Maybe I should get them sewn onto my skinsuit in a row like military decorations. Probably not aero though.

  • How am I not old enough to do these yet?

I want the calendar to come out. Why do I have to wait so long for race planning. Fucksake.

  • I want the calendar to come out.

I want the ECCA to tell us what races they want our club to provide marshals for. They bang on about people not being willing to marshal races, but boy they don't exactly help themselves by giving such short notice. Last year our marshal-organising person was asking them for our dates for months.

  • I will post in here before I post "elsewhere".

Does anyone know if a Planet X Exocet seatpost will fit a regular PX Stealth frame?

The seat tube angle is so slack on my frame that even with the saddle slammed forward I am still way back.

I did find a Youtube vid about fitting a Bontrager saddle clamp that allows you to bodge it, but I'd rather not try that method if possible.

    TIA

  • Nope. Very different shapes.
