You'd have to leave first though.

I'm gonna sign up for Valley of the Rocks - I would have done it the other day but spent all my sweety money on a silly jersey - am I right in thinking it's the middle section that's the real killer bit?
Gonna ride it 62" or 65". It's all about the RPMs. -

In other news - although I am planning an SR series, I sent my SFW brevet back today with 20AAA. Such a shame there's no badge or anything for it.
Was there ever one? -

That's the AAA badge.
There are two fixed wheel awards.
Fixed wheel challenge - which is 25pts (and a trophy for highest total in a year)
And Super Fixed Wheel - which is a SR series on fixed, or 20AAA on fixed in a season.(I'm holding fire on the one you linked as I can't decide where'd to et the medal or the badge)

Ah, ruddy hell there's so many awards it's confusing!

It's taken me ages to get my head round what's what.
Still don't understand fully what's going on.
Turn up - ride bike. Simple I thought. -

Rode my first fixed 300 today as a DIY. Left home at 5h30, went to Cambridge (fell off in a corner at km 60 because of a thin layer of mud on the road -_-), then to Northampton (ft. all the headwind), had amaaazing coffees at Yellow Bourbon Coffee Roasters, then went back to London (with an additional kilo of beans in the saddle bag). Nice day for it, and nice weather apart from the 80km of headwind between Cambridge and Northampton. Next time I'll probably go directly to Northampton though, or maybe even try mail order :D
Also I rode through Milton Keynes on the way back, this place is weird.

MK is great if you like roundabouts.
-
• #7139
MK reminds me of home.
Struggling to get out the door for this DIY. Maybe another hour or two in my pants...
-
• #7140
We’ve all been there (not in your pants exactly, although many have), go when you’re ready, but remember it gets dark by 4.
-
• #7142
I went.
It was 'interesting'.
Who the fuck snaps two gear cables on two different bikes in two days?! Oh, that would be me.
-
• #7143
gear cables
etc...
-
• #7144
That's why I have electric gears. No idea how you install a gear cable, but I do know how to plug things in.
-
• #7145
You know what you have to do.

• #7146
I'm not riding my fixed. It's cracked, overgeared, has flat pedals since it's too short for my midfoot setup. I've also ridden my Inbred over those hills and I really don't need another gym workout.
-
• #7147
I found a pack of cables that's been in my parts pile for 10 years. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be a quick swap. If not, the bike gets thrown under a car and insurance pays for a new S-Works :)

Stop riding audax?
No, I know, buy another bike!
-
• #7149
there is this 1000k audax in france next summer, going around Basel / Mulhouse, across the 3 surrounding countries.
I am vaguely toying with the idea of subscribing, but we'll see.
Anyway i thought i'd share here. -

anyone keen on this?
http://www.aukweb.net/events/detail/16-43/
It is a while off obviously but I'm mad keen as some of the roads round there are amazing.
Well that would be going big and going home, actually.
