  • Good news, and I know it's loved as its yours, but wow....it's not much of a looker!

  • it's not much of a looker!

Don't you own a Trek Stache, mate :D

  • :0)

I've had some bike munters in my time, therefore feel I am qualified to comment!

    As are you fella! ;0)

  • I think that every time I see another generic, cookie cutter modern suspension frame! :)
I fell in love with Brooklyn frames the very first time I saw a TMX.

  • As are you fella! ;0)

I'll never live down that Thudbuster

  • Certainly not on the road! :)

  • That’s the most amazing news I’ve seen on here in a while.
Really chuffed for you Scott and hope it’s back where it belongs very very soon.

  • Just got to hope the police are willing to follow it up quickly enough.

  • I must admit that when I read he sold it, despite you having spoke to him, it seems a bit dodgy.....hope everything turns out right for you though.

  • Hey Scott, amazing news, so happy for you and hope it all works out!

    Best wishes, d0cA

  • Gotta love that the number the Met police give you to call to add further IMPORTANT information to the case is only accessible between 9-5 Mon-Fri...an office which had already closed at 4:10 when I called it on Thursday :(

  • I always thought this bike would turn up again. Too distinctive not to.

Good luck Scott, hope you get it back ASAP.

  • yay nice one scott

  • now for murtles pace

  • Can't wait to see it back! ♥️

  • Man it's becoming ridiculous!
I'm still being asked to prove that I'm the legal owner.
I've provided photos of it...lots of photos...outside my own house...even the photo sent to me by Brooklyn Machine Works in 2006 labelled 'Scott's Brooklyn Big Link number 8'....I've listed every single component, along with any modifications...which is easy seeing as I built it...all the distinguishing features...and to top it all off...a written confirmation from the company themselves stating that they made the bike and sold it to me....and I'm still being asked "Have you got anything more 'official' ?"
They're even asking me for bank statements from 11 years ago because they feel everything I've already provided is not enough 'proof' it's mine!
Now despite all of that I'm still being asked questions like "can you confirm the frame number again?".....
    "YES...it's number EIGHT!!! One digit!!!"

    Utterly ridiculous!

  • They're even saying things like "we need to make sure it's not one of the other ones...or a copy"
There are only NINE in the whole world...each numbered, funnily enough, ONE to NINE...and mine is number EIGHT...and the one you have in your police station is...NUMBER EIGHT....is it sinking in yet???

  • How can they be sure it isn't number infinity? Just a matter of perspective innit...

  • Are you actually depending on the average copper being numerate?

Hope this gets sorted soon :-(

  • In all seriousness, been following this from the brooklyn thread and I really hope you get it back.

It's hard to imagine a more unique and well-documented build; how is someone supposed to get their cannondale back one wonders?

  • Amazing, I hope it all works out!

  • Fuck yeah, one of the only stolen bikes I could actually identify.

  • It is the MET. They never got past "testing, 1, 2, testing".
