Half-eaten? They'd be lucky if there were a few crumbs left.

In the news: Deliveroo rider eats customer

Half-eaten? You underestimate me. :)
I wonder how many I could get away with nibbling evenly around the outside and claiming it's a new crust-free pizza..

Has anyone got a toothpick!!?!

I want a 49min 25 next year.
E2 or Wales? I got feckin' close on E2 but it's pretty variable with wind. Wales was ridden after my 50:02 and in shithouse weather so a bit of a write off. Did a 51 or so.
What aero arms race shit do I need to cheat my way into the 40s?
-
• #16657
Wales. E2/25 is fast, Wales is faster.
-
• #16658
Familiarity with the course should let me exploit it better. Driving to race for less than an hour sucks but if I can nail it sooner rather than later I can forget about it.

I need to find all the aero gains in the world, for next season.
Is there a single ring setup that actually works?
Rear derailleur, those ceramic speed things, worth it?
Which waxed chain is best? All the gains, so I don’t need to bother training!
-
• #16660
Similarly, I'd like a recipe for a good wax solution for race days if anyone has done some experimenting...

All of them work fine if you use a single sprocket too.

• #16662
Surely the answer is Aerocoach errythang?!
-
• #16663
Yeah fair point. I would like to do a fixed TT at some point, however this isn't it.
-
• #16664

Plenty of people have, all the evidence seem to point to stripping the OE grease being the greatest part of whatever gains are available. After that, you're chasing tenths of a percent gains.

Any chainguide should sort chain retention. I'm still using an old FD but will get something slicker at some point.
Ceramic speed are ~£400 for about 2 watts - definitely better seeing @xavierdisley if your budget is limited. There are cheaper options that will get you most of the benefits of CeramicSpeed - I think the biggest gains are larger jockey wheels, not ceramic bearings.
Waxed chains, dunno, but FrictionFacts site would probably tell you.

Yeah seeing him (not a date) is on the list. Just wondered what I could do myself first.
-
• #16667
As well as the stuff you mention, better tyres, match tyres to wheels better, aero skewers, gloves, trips on you or paint on bike, look for anything you can take off or add to the bike to make it more slippery.
You could DIY some testing to find better skinsuit, helmet, positions.

• #16668
I need to find 3 seconds in a 25mi. Buy new bike vs. eat less hmm...
-
• #16670
Yeah seeing him (not a date)
Aeroticcoach?
-
• #16671
Yeah. I think my wheels are pretty good already. I use some of those pinlock skewers as aero skewers.
DIY testing is an idea. But trying to buy a dozen helmets etc. Sometimes it's better to pay for the expertise.
-
• #16672
DIY test positions or borrowed items, don't buy them.
-
• #16673
I still need to find a solution for my dead leg / left hip problem. I'm basically riding with one leg in most of my races under 12hrs.

Sell your P2, buy a P3
-
• #16675
Is there much in a frame with integrate front brake? Rich Bus always on P2 and he's xav's man.
Plus you’d get fired when customers started getting half eaten pizzas delivered.
