Output of the front light is fucked? Test that.

Could be it's lower than 6V or something I suppose

Bingo. Got a new light from the LBS and everything is now working.

Yeah. I considered it but supernova say the whole circuit has to be connected through the rear light so did it for warranty/peace of mind reasons.

I guess ^this makes routing easier on honjo mudguards as the lip is very tight. Berthouds are easier.
