This current account business is being terribly handled. I logged into my Monzo app today to try to use it and I'm required to order a new card, submit some ID stuff, and wait for it to arrive before I can do anything. The app (and my money) is unusable until the new card arrives, and it sounds like I will lose a lot of the functionality I like, and gain nothing that I would value, from the new current account setup. I can't even access the Help area of the app, the only thing it will let me do is activate the new card that I don't have yet.
Further annoyance caused by the ID process for the new card taking multiple tries to get working, it didn't like my photo or something, and the system for taking a picture in the app was crashing it.
The main advantage of Monzo for me was reduced hassle and improved user experience, and this is now much more annoying than anything a proper bank have done to me...
