Not every day no, depends on how many books I have to carry. I carry a lot of books around for work.

Hardbacks too, no paperback lightweight nonsense.

Maybe I should just leave them at work. But then what would I reference??

Yeah, I seem to do that too. The only thing train commuting is good for is reading time. Perhaps I should just get audio books and play them though the speaker on my handlebars.

I've had exactly the same thought. I used to have a rest day where I'd tube in one day a week. I worked further away actually managed to finish books. Now, I don't take a day off the bike so I get feck all reading in. Maybe a few pages before sleeping. Thought about using audio books at work but almost certainly wouldn't be able to concentrate.

get a kindle it would save you lost of weight and ride everyday!

Also, being surrounded by a stack of "principles and practice" books makes my shit look legit and important. In reality, I'm on here half the time.

What does one do with a cracked helmet? I came off on Friday afternoon and hit the deck pretty hard and as a result my helmet is completely fucked. I'm guessing the best thing to do with it is just bin it, correct? Or can it be recycled somehow?
