Ektar loves that autumn light! On another subject I've recently shot a lot of expired film but the results are so all over the place I'm not loving it.

Ektar loves that autumn light!
How do you get away with shooting it at 100ISO in the Autumn ? I've got a roll of it that I haven't got around to shooting - I've been waiting for a sunny day where I have free time on my hands.
I've been having to shoot my 400ISO film at 800ISO when overcast at lunchtimes to get decent depth of field and shutter speed -

Some recent stuff from a couple of rolls.

I hand hold down to 1/15 of a second with the Rolleicord and these shots were metered (well guessed) for the brighter parts of the scene.

Ha - just starting out with slide, and starting with the best stuff there is, nice!

You should get a decent projector ("diascope" in english?) as long as they're still available, and view those huge!!
You will be blown away for sure.
I hardly ever see projected slides these days but it always shows me how it's still leages above all the digital / "HD" stuff.. -

Just viewing the slides on a window is beautiful. I have some ideas for shooting a collage and making a lightbox frame to display them.

Yea I always loved getting them back developed, and having the first look with a small loupe on a light table.. the way the colours pop at you and it's this brilliant image of the world, compressed in this tiny frame.. amazing.
But seriously, get a diascope, you'll thank me later.. -

fun/nerve racking/satisfying
haha, yea, isn't it..
@mi7rennie - I like the barn!
Also it's funny, I noticed since the greyness reigns here in Berlin pictures shot with Ektar downright pierce my eyes.
: ]
@haveo - ha, I love these "whitewashed" windows. Nice "graffiti" on top right as well.
Second shot looks pretty bold and heavy (colour wise) for Portra..
@miro_o - maybe you're confusing it with Diarfin ?
Just kidding. I haven't used the stuff myself yet (gonna cook the soup after breakfast though, yay),
but apparently Diafine is able to raise the EI of most films by a stop (or two, with Tri-X for example),
which is one of the reasons people use it - as it apparently does not get more contrasty or grainy
as it happens with pushed films.
