Decided to go with the Cinelli Oyster & Soma bars from my Gazelle TVM. Only issue is I need to run a beer can shim to compensate for 26.4 & 26.0 setup.
I would prefer a something a little more fancy than a cut up tinnie.
Hopefully should have this done in the next few days.

Exquisite. White bar-tape?

Maybe come spring? Tis a winter build after all...

What's winter got to do with it?
White would pick out nicely with the lettering on the frame.

I agree! But it might go grey and skanky in the winter muck. That's all

Winter schmuck more like. Summer brings dust, which just as filthy, and you can always wipe them down, depending on the material. I would recommend Selle Italia Controllo Gel tape to go with that Flite saddle.

Or Condor bar tape in whatever colour he fancies (which is also half the price)

White BikeRibbon, old-school vinyl finish, would work on there and cleanable. A bit of hockey tape underneath if you want it more comfy.

Sorry guys, it will be black bar tape.
Not a fan of white tape.....

The Condor is finished, had to rebuild the left shifter, which took most of the day along with cabels. Really really pleased with how it has turned out.
Can't wait to take it out tomorrow, for a chilled blast around the Mendips!
Pics to come....................
