Isn't it a bit pointless? Hardly drop any chain in my SSCX, the few times I did was because it was too loose or the chainline wasn't good

It's for SSCX setups with vertical dropouts. So the chain stays on without any real tension on the chain.

Hi All, I’m hunting for a nice SSCX with plenty of clearance for sale around Devon/postage if possible. Aiming for around £300ish or less. Anyone got anything?

why narrow-wide

why not just wide wide?

Coz chains have an inner link which is narrower, unless you mean 1/8" but then maybe you'd want to switch between SS and geared and use the same chainring

This answers my question.
