Emperor Tuna?

Nah, one of the new cocktail time power reserves.
The shop was full of pron that I wasn't prepared to pay for. Much like many shops in Amsterdam.

@Stonehedge keeping it classy.
Spending all day on The Urban Gentry channel might have something to do with it, but starting to think about pos moving up the ladder from my SKX. Really liking the look of the Squale 1521.

Arrived to work to find this bobby dazzler. A rose between two big lads.

Something about this guy I don't like, can't put my finger on it.
-

That is a heck of a lot more affordable than it looks. I may just add one to my Christmas list

I did get that, watched a lot of his videos (mainly today) but can't help find his enthusiasm infectious. His whole cultured, educated, classical schtick was initially hard to stomach but now do warm to him.

I meant to ask, what happened with the Steinhart debacle? Did they sort you out in the end? I've been looking at the Ocean One Vintage/Military longingly...
-
• #24510
That's lovely. Mind me asking the price in EUR?
-
• #24511
I paid bricks and mortar premium price of 500 euros. You can get them online for £430 I think.
Why anybody buys a watch from an actual shop unless they are drunk is beyond me.

Up early for a drunkard. Hard to break habits. 😎

Got to go to work innit

the fact that he's a sleazebag?
-
• #24516
Yeah they sorted it out nicely, I haven't had a problem since, and I wear it nearly every day. I'd say the customer service process could definitely be improved but at the end of it, I wasn't left out of pocket, and I've got a watch that works.

I didn't like the official pics a coupla pages back but it looks real nice 'on'.

Forgot to say I found this for 1€ on Sunday at the flea market. Gotta make it work again (if even possible) or flog it at the used store for a nice mechanical.

Thanks for that!!
For the service , knowledge, peace of mind , warranty etc...... -
• #24520
I thought you'd disagree. I agree that there is a certain peace of mind buying from an AD but you still get a warranty and service from decent online outlets.
I paid a 17% premium for buying this Seiko from a bricks and mortar store yesterday. That's quite a wedge for a watch that would come with a warranty bought online...

I can't argue that there isn't a sense of occasion buying a luxury watch. I guess that as a collector, that wears off a little. Perhaps its just personal preference that is leading me to say I don't want to pay extra just to have a glass of champagne while I buy.

Customer service is nice if u can afford it. 😎

Nice watch, how thick is it? Reviews seem to suggest it is quite deep.
Also €500 v £430 is only about 3 or 4% difference isn't it?
-
• #24525
Fairly thick but certainly not too bad. Will measure when I get home to my calipers...
My maths sucks balls. Its about 10% isn't it? ~£42 cheaper to buy online than in shop...
The guy you robbed?
What did you get?
