I also have a hardshell and it's amazing for winter riding up here in Edinburgh.
Shame they discontinued the hardshell and softshell and kinda combined it into the winter jacket.

I was gutted when the ditched the classic softshell...

If you are wearing a Hardshell now, will you be wearing two when it actually gets cold?
-
• #29782
I'm not wearing mine yet but surely add/remove layers as needed. With just a base layer it's not really that warm.

But it's so nice...

Anyone got any spare codes ?

I'd love a replacement for my rain jacket..... Are we thinking that release is imminent?
-
• #29786
Fetched mine out of mothballs today - just about cold enough to wear it now.

Got a dark blue loopback jacket in XL which I bought an wore 5 times and not since. Anyone fancy it for £70?

I also have jacket to get rid of, as will be getting the new classic rain jacket II when it shows this week.
One of the light blue Pro Team Race Capes from a while back. I bought it new from the archive store last summer, and I'm pretty sure the only time I've used it was on the Rapha Manc to LDN ride last year. i just dont get on with the fit. Small is just ever so slightly too small for me, and medium is too big.
Basically as new. Size small. £70 posted.

Which jacket would you recommend if I run hot, would primarily want to stay dry, block wind, but then be warm for the cafe stop and could wear commuting?
-
• #29794
You’d be better off with two items, pro team jacket (or whatever it’s called now) and the insulated brevet gilet or jacket.
-
• #29795
I run hot
don't run
-
• #29796
Both worn at the same time or if separately for which activities?
-
• #29797
Are you being wilfully obtuse?
You run hot. But you don’t want to overheat while cycling, but when you stop the sweat will rapidly cool and you’ll get cold.
Can you work it out yet?

Wear the gilet inside out under the jacket, got it!
-
• #29799
Buy one of everything
It’s what I have done so you can then wear all the things!

A word of caution having just got the pro team training top it's a very snug fit. I'm 6'3 and 78kgs 38-40 chest. I got the XL.
Worrying, it's only 45 mins from home by car. Umm, just popping out to get some, er, crisps. Drill bits. Diesel.
