BTW those tyres are 33c for reference!
What's the maximum you can fit in there you reckon? Lookin' good!

Hmm I don't know maybe 40-45c.
But it is not relevant as its sole purpose is CX racing with 33c -

Looks amazing!

I can't decide on colour. I think it gets too busy with a fade. And I am also ditching the green headset.
Currently I am loving a really dark blue, almost black, metallic that shines blue in sunlight.

Very interesting build, looking forward to seeing final result. How about bmw tanzanite blue?? Really nice colour when in natural light.

colour is the hardest decision.
fade the metallic chameleon blue to a neutral colour like black or dark grey would be subtle and cool. atmo -

Well, I don't sell the bikes, Stayer Cycles do..

I like that forest green with silver text there was in the Stayer colour sample tubes. The one with Stayer partially written on it.

Yeah so as scooter is hinting at I have a lot of green bikes so I want something else :)
Sam build a rando bike in the green you are talking about. It looks dope

Dark blue will be good, but not with too many sick effects. Gets dated quickly. Looking forward to see this done!

Been following the build on instagram, makes me very jealous...every time I go to Sam and see all those welding machines I just want to have a go at it!! They help me with project and stuffs and they are very good and helpful.

I have decided skip green headset and get a black Hope instead. Frame will be sans fade and all blue instead. Dark blue.
I have purchased Velosolo 42t black chain ring, Andel 19t and kmc 3/32 chain.
I am filing joints after work during the coming week and hopefully the frame and forks will be at the painters next week.

I finished sanding the frame Friday evening and bringing it to Stayer tomorrow for paint. Should be back with me some time next week.
As I haven't made a bike frame in two years I am rather pleased with these fillets. It is always tricky getting the fillets to flow out equally and evenly, to create transitions that will file/sand easily, without overheating the tubes. Especially the Max top tube is a bitch because it is so thin walled.
Anyways I have very little pinholes and no real bad undercuts so I am happy. Having made a lot of furniture over that last two years using fillet brazing I have gotten better at shaping fillets using a less violent filing technique. I am not as good as Sam of Stayer, but I'll get there one day. -

BUT more importantly I have decided on paint. I am going for BMW Tanzanite Blue as suggested up stream. Or at least I'll propose it to Sam and see what he can find.
