Sounds good, I'll have a look. The bits of A38 between Thornbury and Gloucester remind me of trunk roads 20 years back (i.e. quieter) but I have no experience north of Gloucester. Lots of quiet looking lanes up there, but then you have to start thinking about ice as the year goes on I suppose.

It's not particularly close to Minehead, but the Tasty Cheddar was a nice 100k route and if I can do it with a few hours to spare I'm sure your other half could.

Ooh, map of Perms: http://www.aukweb.net/perms/map/

(Note all of those available in Basingrad are the Cambrian Perms)

Yeah, I zoomed in to Minehead and found... nothing.

Most county council publish gritting routes, eg: http://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-rights-of-way/roads/roads-in-severe-weather/winter/ but obviously that's no guarantee there will be no ice. Hope you find a suitable route.

Today's liaison with the Meridian Hills can be summed up thusly - cold but beautiful.
Much nicer this time round than last.
Caught up with a fella spinning up Ditchling with a rear cog bigger than my chainring! He had a 1x8 or maybe 1x9 and was turning 42/44!
I've also decided - I am actually a bit scared of the dark.

Porkers I rode to Dorchester station and train when it got bright and had stopped raining for a bit. Best ride this year. I'll never forget the amount of standing water on the wooden parket floor in the hall near Taunton and the man with the mop and the brilliant food from the Wellington Wheelers. And the amount of water out of my gloves when I wrung them. There was a sudden fog on a > 10% bending descend before West Buckland where I had to get off the bike and walk and only could make out the road by gingerly retreating as soon as I had walked into the soft next to the macadam. And so on for five minutes until it lifted.

Can you do the same DIY twice on one day?

Can you do the same DIY twice on one day?
Not sure the results system can handle it, but they may have worked around that restriction. You might get a more definitive answer over at the AUK forum: http://forum.audax.uk/index.php?board=21.0

And far less fun than any of the others to boot. Posts appear under your real name for one, and there's quelle horreur strict moderation.
Happy to post the question there for you if you want?

I'm not going to join, I can't handle another one, especially not one with anything in moderation. I could probably get an answer on yacf anyway. If you can be arsed, thanks but don't stress.

You're already a member, it's the same login as to the AUK website.
What's the scenario that means you want to ride two in a day? How much of a gap between the two rides?
One after another would be easier to just mash it in to one. And if it's to ride two loops of the same thing then you'll probably be told that's not possible, AUK aren't a fan of repeated loops.
If it's before/after work then I can see the logic in it. What distances are they? Are they the same route both times?
