No worries. I went for this in the end, same foot print as one of the 4 bike ones but much taller, and a bit cheaper.

Got my Asguard built yesterday and added OSB 3 panels to the floor and walls today. Pretty pleased other than the fact that the doors are a bit tough to lock, but that's probably the result of it being on a less than perfectly flat patio. I sat it on 3x 2x4s to try and help but I think it's still slightly skewed.

It's massive! Reckon I can fit 6 bikes with some careful positioning of hangers. I may panel the back at some point to for added hanging potential.

Depends on handlebars. Up to 4 alternating front and rear wheels.

Main factors are handlebar widths, and whether you can alternate the height of the hooks. If you have hooks at the same height, chances are one bikes handlebars will touch the next bike's saddle. If you can have ~30cm vertical difference between the hooks, you should be able to squeeze four in. Three if not. There's a picture of my rack on page 34, 3 bikes in 103cm.

Ordered PIR, rechargeable LED strip light.

Arrived with two 3M adhesive backed magnetic strips for mounting so I can just lift the light off to take indoors to charge or move to light either side if the shed more effectively. Even though all of the shed gets decent light no matter what side it's on.

Painting the ceiling white seems to have helped. I had planned to paint the walls too but the two tins I bought when I was building it all went on the roof panels.

Hey - I've been using cheapo vertical hanging wall hooks for a while but always find they come out of the wall after about a year of heavy use.

Has anyone got experience of more heavy duty hooks (mine only have two screws into the wall in each) that have seen a lot of use and are still going strong?

Have you tried ditching the packaged screws and using more heavy-duty fittings instead? (Longer & bigger screws, better plugs, Fischer bolts, etc.)

If the hook hasn't failed, then it might not be the problem and it'll be cheaper to get some new fixings than a whole set of hooks.

Fix a plate to the wall; fix the hooks to the plate.

Update on the PIR rechargeable LED strip. Worked exactly as expected/required. The mains PIR light above the back door gives enough light to lock up bikes in the shed. When that is on, there is too much ambient light to trigger the LED strip light. If I'm still fannying about after the mains light goes off, the LED strip turns on. Very happy for £20.

Also have the option to have it be permanently on if I'm working on something in the shed and don't want to wave my arms about every 20 seconds.

Hooks on walls ftw. I can fit six bikes no problems, except for the moto, which is a problem.

Recommended ground anchor? I'd like to be able to use a Krypto Fahgettaboudit with it if possible.

The answer really depends on what you've got to attach the ground anchor to; concrete/brick/etc?
