I have a spot of toe overlap on my Talbot. It's kinda bothersome, but then I don't spend a lot of time riding it so I guess it's something you can get used to.
The short wheelbase - 1000mm or so - makes it lively but it's kinda terrifying at medium / slow speeds in tight turns - it's just a bit too keen to duck under you. Wheelbase is 1005mm but I've got more clearance than you'll probably have so maybe the longer front centre will sort that out a bit.
I reckon a 71/70 deg head angle with a spot more offset would be an improvement, on my frame, but then you've got to build a whole new frame and find a new fork. 74deg boggles my mind, but then I spend a lot of time on modern MTBs where 69.5 is on the steep side.
