Yeah I spoke to Stayer after reading your recommendation. He does a great job, but is expensive for the carbon fork part.
I could just sand the forks down and clear coat them I guess. Much more forgiving of a shit job.

Vinyl wrap with a decent hairdryer is pretty good for forks - I'm quite rough with my bikes and have been happy with the matt black ebay vinyl job on these after 3years of daily use
- if you can find an appropriate colour it'd be worth considering.

Thanks, think it's my only "finished" bike
This one isn't far from "finished" still could improve the cockpit IMO

May still be tough with 105 callipers, i'll try and take a pic later to give you an idea of clearance.
I actually quite like the colour scheme on yours and think its a great build but some of the contact points look a touch heavy aesthetically. Flite, thin perf tape, king cage and some XT spd's transformed the look of my old dreary grey OTP 8.

Yeah the bar tape is on the fat side. Took the decals off the wheels just now and that’s helped.

Update on my flatmate's Bananaman / IKEA ride.
He's not cleaned it in 3 months.

Finish this rats project based on an Haral fillet brazed Excell tubing frameset.
Frame had been repaired and build up with parts laying around.Cost price 17€, everything just work well, would do a great beater IMO

The ratty road bike got a little overhaul with a new (old) cockpit and a longer seatpost since there seems to be a tiny hairline crack around the seatlug, possibly as a result of the short aero seatpost. I keep forgetting how nice this rides, 531c and DA 7400 is such a smooth combo.

Steve from armoutex has set up his own business now, he's doing carbon too. Same quality as ever, I think hackney pedaler and stayer cycle both do all their work though him.
