Sounds perfect, have some fun!! My new 'studio' is still full of boxes, can't bear to get in there and sort it out, too depressing... Maybe this weekend...

Spend all day thinking of band names. All awful.

What's wrong with 'Fatberg'? I just searched, it doesn't seem to be taken (for a band). :)
Also, it's certainly memorable.

Titanic... I'll need a 20% cut of all earnings for the first two years...

PS I think Titanic is an AWESOME name, quick Google search didn't yield any results apart from The Famous Titanic Band that were playing as the ship was sinking... The Famous Titanic Band is possibly an even better name... IMVHO, obvs...

Fuck that IS good! Top of the list for today anyway.
Think I like Titanic or The Titanic Band better for brevity reasons. The Titanics?

Got a new guitar yesterday - The Ibanez ARZ307 7-string. Everything on it is stock, so does anyone have any recommendations as to how I can upgrade it to an absolute heavy metal tank?

You could cover it in those little lead weights they use to balance car wheels? Should add a fair amount of weight while maintaining playability and cover the metal end of things quite well?

Musicman St Vincent?
I really like the shape and the stealth black one looks awesome. Shame it's £2300 and so about 10x my budget...

I like it. Would benefit from a more aggressive headstock shape imo.
Yeah man. When I was on a permanent toilet circuit world tour i'd change strings at least once a week. Since I switched to playing acoustic gigs in around 2011 the Tele has sat in the case with the same crusty old strings on only coming out for very rare studio appearances. I dig the sound of dead old strings but these are ridiculous. Going to give it a set-up, going to sand the neck back and try flat-wounds I think.
Also going to try and find space to have an amp a few pedals set up ready to grab and go. Have decided to move on from the Elvers thing. Not going to end it as such and will still be playing under the name now and again, I'm not going to book any more gigs with the whole band for a while and am thinking about the next project... I'm feeling maybe something a bit sparkly and groovin' and psychedelic. Bit of T-Rex, bit of krautrock, bit of Oh Sees, bit of Hawkwind... or something.
