You don't want those WI cranks give to me please

These are two of my all time favourite bikes to look at. I tried to build something similar and I fucking hated it and sold it in a week.

All a matter of taste I suppose. I've never ridden with drop bars for more than a test ride, but I can't say I'd ever want to.

Keep speccing out wheels but they end up at £150+ every time... why are second hand 15mm/qr 656b wheels so hard to find?

I'd just put nanos in what you have for now, you may end not liking the new setup.

I'm building some atm which will be cheap. £7 wtb rims from PX and £60 Novatec hubs from AliExpress. You can get SLX hubs cheap from CRC too

It's only £24 more, save up for a few weeks.

I'm hoping to pick up a pair of wheels from a fashion conscious MTBer who's changed through-axle standards for £50ish.
Not in a huge rush to get this rolling.

I'm not sure of their Axle standard though
MTB is a fuckign minefield these days. Once you get your head around axles you've got to start worrying about XD freehubs...

What spokes are you getting that cost 50 quid? Also learn to build your own wheels. Its not that difficult and saves you a boatload of cash. Just take your time and don't ride them till you know theyre right

Sapim Race from SBC. I've built wheels before, £50 to get it done by someone who'll do them perfectly is worth it for me.
-
• #273
£50? You need to speak to @broken_777

64 equivalent spokes and nipples can be had for 20ish posted online. Build yourself and youre saving 80 quid. Up to you but no brainer for me

Hmm, you make a fair point. Guess I could lace them up and get SBC to finish them off, really CBA with tensioning and trueing.
To?
