usenet is less risky than torrenting as you don't upload anything which is where the big fines come in.
there's tons of tutorials out there for setup depending on your os etc.

i'd recommend:- usenet provider: tweaknews.eu (xx euros per month) usenet search engine: nzbgeek.info (small amount for ViG membership a year)
most of the setup is running wizards and then adding the config details from one bit of software to the other.
edit: usenet will also max out your download speed where torrents may not but as it runs in the background it's not much of a big deal
