Customer service at it's very best.

Yes I read your post in it's entirety, that's what prompted my reply.
A basic single Shimano brake inner cable from workshop box from the main UK distributor costs us £1.82 inc. Vat - So charging £4 for one doesn't seem extortionate, especially considering the overheads of a bricks and mortar shop.

You need to stop buying your cables from Madison and start buying them from CRC.

Half the price and includes 3 cable ends (which, probably have a street value of about £2 each once you add on the lbs 'brick and mortar' markup).

This is them telling you that you aren’t bringing them enough beer

Not Wiggle, but J E James Cycles....
"If you have received this email when the item on your order was listed as “In Stock”, then it is because we had an insufficient stock amount to fulfil the order."
Head explodes.

I took my barber beer and he didn't want it.

I don't seem to be getting confirmation emails from wiggle anymore. Anyone else have this problem?
-
• #534
Appears Wiggle now using Yodel/MyHermes for next day deliveries instead of DPD.
last order from them then.

We charge £2.50ea for stainless steel inners of all descriptions - are we missing a trick?
-
• #536
So expect to find your orders from inside your wheelie bins if you are lucky?
Yodel left my parcel (not from wiggle but same difference), apparently outside my front door, obviously it got stolen before I got home...

Anyone gotten the £5 voucher for newsletter sign up?
I signed up a few hours ago and had nada through yet. Wondering if I should try it again with a different email address as there’s some shoes I wanna get and every little helps!

Seems their Maths or ethos isn’t up to scratch when returning items with money off orders over X when said order value is still above X.
Wonder how this complaint will go -
• #539
I ended up buying cheaper shoes so didn't need/use the £5 voucher (which came in about 48 hours after newsletter sign up by the way).
I now have 2x £5 off £50+ btw so anyone looking for a code, give me a shout.
Edit: Also returned the first pair of shoes I bought and re-ordered in a different size.
Refund was quick enough but they didn't sent any Haribo with the 2nd pair. Cunts.

So the last two times I have made an order I have asked for next day delivery because I've needed it asap and cos I can. Both times it seems to not happen. I don't even get confirmation emails of tracking numbers any more which also seems odd as I used to.
I got the tracking info from the chat this morning and it hadn't been updated since midnight. The person on the chat said this is fine and will update at midday. Midday? It should be on a courier first thing in the morning since its getting delivered to Soho.
Although it seems if your platinum you can get a call back the same day so I might be able to speak to a real person.
I never used to have issues with wiggle at all and now it seems to have gone to complete crap.

They used to use DPD for next day and I would go out of my way to buy from them if the price was reasonable.
now it's yodel/hermes they're a last resort for me to get stuff if no one else has it.

I don’t bother with next day but my wiggle orders always come Royal Mail and I never have any issues
-
• #543
All I want is the service that I paid for. Which seems incredibly hard to get.
-
• #544
Found next day delivery nearly always turns up after normal delivery or I have to harang them to find out where it is.
-
• #545
They emailed to say that it wont get delivered so i have replied to get this to contact me regarding changing the address. Then demand compensation as this is twice in less than 30 days and totaling over £500 all up.
edit - yes i know I'm a sucker

Tried to offer me a 5 quid voucher. The girl was pretty stunned when I asked if it was routine to insult a customer after they have already been fucked around by the company.
The did say they use DPD to deliver on a Sunday if you order over night on Saturday.

Spent an age making sure I ordered the correct disc brakes, right hand front, left hand rear, checked and triple check so it’s all correct.
They send me two right hand brakes anyway, I hate having to return stuff!!

I just got the wrong mudguards from CRC on thursday, had time to fit them today too. Hate returning and reordering stuff too.

So i've got myself into an interesting situation recently.
Bought myself a pair of sram guide ultimate brakes which looked like an absolute bargain - 56% off! Even with this 56% off it costed 200 quid. Quite a sum but a steal anyways, right?
Guess what - the brakes arrive in some weird bubblewrap, no original packaging, no instructions, just some shady barcodes on them. I get them to my beloved mechanic, he immediately points out that the clamp and mounting bolts for one brake is missing.
I write to their support, they say they're sorry, their stock is also incorrect, they say they will compensate 20 quid for the clamp if I went and bought it in some local bike shop. Fair enough.
My beloved mechanic also points out that there's quite a lot of stuff missing actually.
Quick search on the interwebs gives me a package contents for a pair of brakes
- 1 pair of SRAM Guide Ultimate disc brakes, filled and bled
- 2 pairs of SRAM organic brake pads
- 2 x SRAM Matchmaker X clamp adapters
- 2 x SRAM transport block
- 2 x hose clips
- incl. olive + insert pin
- incl. bolts
- rotor not incl.
- adapter not incl.
Now that's interesting. Didn't support know that the package should contain much more than a single clamp? Why the hell it's in bubble wrap and not in official packaging? Why there was no note of any of this in the original listing? Who knows what else is missing? Shall i just return it?
Didn't expect such an experience with wiggle...

OEM packaging rather than retail. IIRC, wiggle used to state that in the small print but it's a while since I bought anything from them which was likely to be anything other than retail packed.
