Stick with a classic. But always buy what you like.

If I had upt to £4,500 to spend on a watch, probably Omega. What would be a good buy investment wise? Would love a speedy moon watch of some kind but would probably keep!
I have some money left in a UK account and the exchange to AUD is terrible so I'm attempting to get around that while getting a nice watch that may return the investment.

I remember trying to set up a bitcoin mining laptop years ago. Couldn't get it to work and gave up... Kicking myself now.

£4,500 to spend on bitcoin now means a free £4,500 in 12 months time to spend on a watch*.

You're very unlikely to buy a watch for that money that will double in value inside a year.

Was a genuine suggestion. Quite good for avoiding exchange rate issues. Anyway, there are other threads for this advice.

On a watch/bitcoin related note, I have bought a few watches through bitdials.eu before. Good company, high list prices but you can normally haggle them right down. You can view their watches in Germany by appointment.

leaning heavily towards the Zenith. only held back by the fact that is 40mm

That Vintage Speedmaster guy must’ve taken a serious punt when they brought out the TinTin, he’s sold 20 of them according to his previously sold webpage.

I guess money is cheap right now.
