I fucking love these tyres dude! Did you squeeze the 42mm's on or you running the 37c's? I just about squeezed 38c's on mine in the summer but had to have it set up bang on othwise they rubbed on chain an seat stays and the seattube haha

£1500 or offers (seems steep!)
-

I was surprised that they fit but they are 40's and the axle is not even hanging out of the track ends.

I wana build some 29ers again for mine and get back on big tyres. Wonder if I'll have enough clearance on my stays to run the same tyres with 29" rims
-
• #5209
the big tyres thing gets boring as fuck eventually. so slow
-
• #5210
is that a long? looks like it might be
-
• #5212
It's a medium. 46cm. Longs have a much more horizontal TT.

nice. thanks tom

So does the thin tyres thing :)
It's always nice to switch back and forth every now and then. -

What tom said
I'm 6ft and it fit like so (my long V2 is a better fit for me) - would suit someone a bit smaller maybe. Its well nice in the flesh though
Edit - another pic
(disclaimer, not my bike!)

I just wanted to post this vid as it reminded me of a couple of things...
1) Why I fell for Brooklyn Machine Works in the first place almost 20 years ago.
Because as a 'company' they were just a couple of guys arsing about on bikes that they designed and built the way THEY wanted to, regardless of what the rest of the industry was doing.
Their bikes were like no others at the time.2) Just how far 'freeriding' has come since the early days....when just riding down flights of stairs was considered 'rad' ...Not that it was easy leaving the ground on 65lbs steel suspension bikes!
Those were the days!

Yeah, I get bored too easy of skinny tyres though I wana switch back. I reckon I've ridden 80% of the miles on my BMW on 35c's. Really digging wide rims atm, is keen to lace some halo vapour MTB 29er's to track hubs but they're huge not sure if they'd fit

Just dug this out the garage. Been sitting for years.

Wanna sell? ;)

I hope those are BMX cranks, with the threads reversed.
-
• #5223
look like profiles, no need to have reversed threading or anything though, they just have a bolt for the chaining on both sides. Looks like a splined 5 arm spider is being used there anyway

they just have a bolt for the chaining on both sides.
For the spider you mean? Interesting!

• #5225
yes, but the pedals will undo when you pedal forward. unless they're the left hand drive profile cranks, which I assume they are
That's dedication.
