Is there a Westerley Perm organiser for this or just a case of applying for the generic 100k through Paul the SE Perm guy?
Let me try..

My plan to ride Mid Sussex Hilly on Saturday was scuppered by a server failure at work on Friday night, so spent the day at work instead of riding, just hoping IT can resolve it today so I can take tomorrow off to ride the Shark instead.
Well fucking annoying.

Yeah, you definitely have to finalise it beforehand but it does mean you can bail if a weekend is looking particularly bad or something crops up. So long as you send the email beforehand!

Oh I know that.
I was just worried that when tying a date in, it would be fixed. With postal entry and no email contact it would have been difficult to change.

Audax people, what battery packs are you using? After something light....
-
• #6958
It depends on what you want to use it for! What you want to charge, how many times, etc. Personnally for phone and garmin I'm quite happy with the amazon basic 5600 mAh. It can keep me running for few days.

For rides up to 600km, anything will do, you're just topping up devices that have been charged for the start. I've used 4xAAs in a box, Anker 5 mAh, Teknet 3.4 mAh. Main thing to check is charging compatibility with your device, especially charging a Garmin while it is in use. I've come unstuck with that once or twice.

Yeah essentially just phone and garmin. Will check that one out, thanks.

Ah right, good point. Cheers

One of the newer Anker packs and one of the Zen ones. I have a range of sizes and will choose depending on distance, chance of 240v, etc.

You can get little USB things that go inline and remove the data wires so the problem Garmins don't shut off. Also useful to stop phone hacking if you're using public recharge stations

I've started a poll on another site about whether I should get a AAA medal or a AAA cloth badge.
Input is appreciated. -

Where?

Funny you should ask, my 3xAAA and AAASR badges arrived in the post today. I think it is ridiculous to claim 1xAAA unless it is the Grimpeur du Sud medal.
-
• #6969
Do you have something to stitch the badge to?

Which cable?

Remind me again what was that funny one you mentioned? Hyper SR? Ultra SR?

I have a great sense of self worth! Like the gnat and the bull story. Sorry. I didn't read the post properly.
I'm guessing it harkens from a time when AAA were harder to come by?
A whole batch must have been sent at once - my Grimpeur medals turned up this morning, which prompted me to investigate it all.

No, but then I've not much to pin the medal to either.

You can order this. You on the list.
