  • Turam and desailly clip was good. Ronaldo was just brilliant
"PSV Eindhoven for a fee of £3.83m, which was not only the same price as Liverpool spunked on Phil Babb that summer"

  • Bit pretentious in style at times, but the content was great.

Post-football Ronaldo is an interesting story too - wasn't he in London working for an investment bank for a while?

  • phil babb did alright

  • yep he did wasn't a dig a phill bab but more to show how transfers have changed, most wonder kids are snapped up early or have a massive tag put on them as soon as they reach 16 /17 these days. Look at M'bape. (who reminds me of Ronaldo with his all round game with pace and power)

  • I'm obviously hoping Dyche doesn't go to Everton.

I think he would do well there but he would have to be given time. I'm sure he'd shore up the defence and keep them safe this season but he really needs a pre-season to get the players fit and drill them in his style in order to get the team working properly.

I'm not convinced that Everton fans would have the patience for 7 months of fairly shit football.

  • Is that the same U20 world cup where that Liverpool guy won the golden ball and player of the tournament?

    Hint: yes, it was.

  • I know he was under the tutelage of Sir Martin Sorrell (advertising bod) for a while a few years ago.

  • This has got to be some kind of elaborate hoax.

He's criticising the players for being poor role models for children...

  • Errr...Everton players scored most the goals and the winner in the final was scored by Dom Calvert Lewin

  • Everton have just the one option to avoid relegation ............BFS.

  • Alan Pardew?

    Sorry Pisti.

  • Unsworth has been given 'til Christmas I believe. He takes charge at Chelsea tomorrow night and he's throwing a few kids in

  • higher peaks lower troughs than the liverpool one no doubt

  • Long serving Manager,
guided unfancied team to 7th ......
    Alan Curbishley?

  • I went to watch Leyton Orient last night.

    They are terrible.

It looks like there are some decent players, but they seem to be playing without any confidence. The fans are definitely not behind the manager and don't really seem to be behind the team either.

A kid who went to the school I used to work at is now first choice CB at 19, and was one of the best players on the pitch. Having tried to run a couple of history revision sessions for him, I'm glad he found his calling in football.

It's a shame the football was crap because Brisbane Road is a nice ground and to think they were 21 points clear at the top of League One a few years ago, it's sad where they are now.

  • I cursed them when I moved to E10. They went from League 1 Play-Off finalists to non-league in a very short time.

That and Barry Hearn sold the club to some dodgy chairman who has runied the club from the inside out and it will take a lot to get them back on track.

  • Unsworth has been given 'til Christmas I believe. He takes charge at Chelsea tomorrow night and he's throwing a few kids in

    Are you going?

Not expecting great things tonight. Suspect we shall crash out to focus on other competitions.

  • Which of course will fill Everton with hope.

  • One supporter in particular, Adam Bhana, was so in awe of the performance that he decided to show his gratitude via direct payment.

After stumbling across a £5 note outside the John Smith’s Stadium, the young fan wrote a letter to the club asking that the money be sent to his matchday hero, Aaron Mooy.

“Dear Sean (Jarvis, club director),” Adam’s letter started. “I was at the Huddersfield against Manchester United match.

“I found a £5 note at the stadium and gave it to dad because you cannot keep what is not yours.

“Can you please ask Mr Wagner if Aaron Mooy can keep the money because he played very well and scored yesterday.

“I have put the £5 in the envelope. Thank you.”

  • Interesting to see the drug cheat blame his side's difficulty in getting past Wolves on the ball...

    England-Brazil U17 game is entertaining.

I'm watching that too, England taking the game to them now...
