Hippy asked about rolling resistance of IRC tyres I had a hunch but I had no numbers I do now.
Test done at 30kph with a 40 kg load and 80psi
The schwalbe pro one was tested too as s comparison and has a crr of 11.6w but it can't do as many miles or grip in the wet. It is as every thinks a fast tyre.
The roadlite 25mm has crr of 13.7w
The formula pro rbcc has a crr of 15.2W
The formula pro X guard has a crr 18.6w.
The pro light was tested but there is something a miss. Crr was a tad higher than the rbcc tyre. So now I have to IRC the bad news.
I have data at higher pressures but since tubeless tyres are ridden at 80 psi or thereabouts that is what is best quoting. So the surprise is the roadlite. I thought it felt gp4000sII quick and it is.
