If the new 8070 are anything like the 9170 I was playing with fully set up the other day, wait. Wait as long as you can.
The new gen Shimano road hydro shifters (at least the DuraAce) are sublime. The modulation is rim brake like with no squishyness - if they look the same and have the same feel under braking, but are just less titanium innerds (usual DA->Ultegra difference) then they’ll be very much worth the wait.
They’ll likely be a lot more expensive than R785 though.

Any thoughts on whether it's better to wait for the newer Ultegra 8070 Di2 shifters or snap up the older R785 shifters? Probably hard to tell since the new ones are not available but I'm wondering on whether to hold off seeing as I've got to wait a couple of months till my bike frame arrives.
