Furry muff, I didn't know they had a barrel nut. Still as ugly as sin and the shape departs for no good reason (other than to add extra ugliness) from a simple flat band which is the correct shape to generate uniform radial force.

As for ugliness, you're talking to a guy who races on a tri bike and uses a COBL GOBLR seatpost. They're so ugly they've basically crossed over into supermodel territory.
