Yes I am going to go for the standup pouch / letterbox carton approach soon. Maybe just for subscribers. The thing is the box packaging has been a big success and lots of people like it, and we get new customers from people showing it to their friends in their own kitchens, plus it means for most orders all I need to do is wrap them in brown paper - buying and storing packing boxed will be a problem for us. I'll give it some proper thought, thanks.
Its handy having a posh clothes shop next door when you need boxes!

Yeah totally get the box from a business prospective. The boxes are standout and good packaging.
Perhaps a tick box on the website, requesting lower impact packaging.

Looks great. Will the discount be around for a few weeks as i don't need anything right now.
My feedback point would be on the grind size. Leave this blank and require the user to select. I was fiddling around and didn't notice the espresso went in the basket with espresso grind (default) rather than whole bean. Easy to overlook if your just bashing through...

Do you have branded espresso mugs? Thought I'd clocked some on a photo of the job but maybe I'm imagining!
-
• #13481
I’ll grt that sorted, it should default to whole bean. Thanks. Discount is scheduled until next Friday for now but I’ll keep it going after that.

Just regular coffee mugs I’m afraid. Cheers.

Just ordered.
The quantities are a bit odd though.
I went for two bags then later changed my mind to three. But the basket had one order for 2 bags, so increasing the quantity changed that to two orders for 2 bags, rather than one for 3 which would have made more sense.

Thanks for the order, yeah that is weird. I’ll pass that on too. Cheers.

Website seems pretty good to me.

Cool, love to hear what you think of it. I didn't back in the end, but it certainly was tempting...

Looks good.
Filter lists flavour descriptors, not sure how much use?
+1 wholebean as default
Cart has payapl option, didn't have discount code option, had to go back & 'checkout' to apply 'doaskid'. It may appear later in that step?
YB Stickers as something we could buy?
aftertaste which keeps reminding you how much you enjoyed this coffee for over an hour after you drink it.
Is this like the Remington guarantee? ;)

I had a look at the website and it all seems to work fine @StevePeel
PC on Windows10
Feedback:
I thought the bag weight could be clearer as it is only written in small letters near the drop down number. It is limited to 3 bags max in the dropdown menu, then you can increase the total at checkout. So you could initially select 2 bags then at checkout choose quantity 2 about so 4 bags in total. I find this bit not very intuitive.
Also, would there be a way to get a say a 500g or 1000g bag instead of 2x or 4x single bags?
Ot is it too much to add on the list?I like the apron on the "About Us" tab! ;-)

Bored of my usual M&S beans so got some Colombian and Espresso Blend on the way, can't wait to try 'em. Our DevOps guy never used to care about coffee but he's obsessed now, I'll make sure to give him a cup and your URL.
Still cheaper than Volcano who've opened across the road from our office!

Nice one, thanks @brokebroadbeat
@vince and @rhb All noted, I agree with all that, I'm passing all this stuff to the developer. Thanks for the feedback.

That was quick!
Cheers @StevePeel

I'm passing all this stuff to the developer.
It's Shopify, an out-of-the-box eCommerce product which might not be as configurable as needed, but I'd be interested to hear the outcome. Keen to know if it's cheaper for you to receive card payments or PayPal too!

Are you competing with Amazon Prime?
Super quick! Thanks.

While I was visiting a friend in Turin an month ago and brought me coffee back.
It's from Rwanda and described as "frutti rossi, speciato, dolce, strutturato e audace". I'm not much of a coffee gourmet but I'm pretty sure none of these words mean sour (at least google translate says that) and I also don't recall the shop dude mentioning a sourish taste. It still does taste sour though. Is it the coffee or am I doing it wrong?
I've ground it for filter coffee (8 clicks from fully screwed in on a Hario MSS-1B if that helps) and tried regular filter and an Aeropress. -

That Nicaraguan is dead tasty Señor Peel.

No-one in the world roasts coffee to taste (intentionally) sour. Especially Italians! I assume it’s fairly dark? Try extracting a lot more; finer grind, hotter water, longer brew time etc.
(It might just be terrible coffee) -

Placed an order earlier today myself, looking forward to trying it. Thanks for putting the discount code on here :)
From a branding perspective the box is fantastic, the design is bold and that's what caught my eye when I first saw your coffee. I know that attracted me enough to check out your Instagram a while back.
@skinny's idea for a check box for low impact packaging would be a nice touch though.
