My go to finishing kit is Fizik.

• #1330
Who cares, just use the Thomson.
-
• #1331
That figures.

Never thought a seat clamp could generate so much hate and doubts...
-
• #1333
are you new here?
bottle cages, brakes, saddles, music, football, pictures of bieks, trainers...
the list is endless
-
• #1334
very true...

• #1335
Again, I haven't had any problems with them, I haven't even rounded them and I like to snap a bolt....
I rounded the face plate screw on my X2 the first time I mounted it. Also Thomson is ugly

Ah my bad.
Pro one looks nice
The best of a bad bunch - good find thank you

What can I say, I must be lucky, very lucky indeed, otherwise I too, would be so very very angry about this.
I also appear to own the only Thomson seat post that doesn't seize in the frame.....
Also Thomson is ugly af
I think there is enough to catch the eye on these Isens to warrant an 'industrial' looking stem and as I said, for me its a bike for work and London, so looks (even though I believe they will be superb) are secondary to longevity/practicality.
If people want to get upset about shit bolts on bits of kit, see the ones in the Wahoo 'outfront' mounts.......

i have never had a problem with any thomson bits of kit, all have worked well and never broken

Throughout the 53 previous pages of this thread, I never though I would agree with you.
But now I do.
Perhaps Thomson are only fully and truly understood, by the larger gentleman

You're both just too feeble to break them. Thomson is common, boring, ugly.
Agree Fizik is nice, Zipp is nice too. Both not expensive but high quality. -
• #1341
or we understand how to install a faceplate and use torque wrenches
i have destroyed many single bolt saddle clamp posts

Goddamn my city hands.
Never had Fizik but Zipp, hex aside is great. I have the service course stuff on my BC Rourke and its been superb.
-
• #1343
Again I agree
God this is tragic.......
-
• #1344
about the only option for me would be matchy matchy 3t stem and seatpost
but this is a parts bin build and i have thomsons languishing gathering dust
-
• #1345
Just get the offensive bolts done in Isen 'Mermaid' colours and you are sorted.

• #1346
Such rainbow

• #1347
I'm going Zipp Service Course SL Bars/ Stem/ Post.
Got Evans to price match cheapest prices I could find online so it's worked out relatively OK cost wise -
• #1348
Just what they need, some heat 😬
-
• #1349
They seem well built and look all right. I'm just hating as Thomson is just too common :)
edit: replied to the wrong post
