  • So good. Would love a racey ss/rigid niner.

  • Its like a newer, more badass version of your old JYD

  • I picked mine up from Stif, they have the alloy one on sale at £300 and the Carbon for £700. Long boi sizes only. Tracking down a matching fork wasn't so easy or cheap though.

  • Cheers, that was exactly what I wanted going into the build. The JYD but less heavy, with discs and not 2 sizes too small. That bike was still insanely fun.

  • Eccentric bottom bracket shell or just magic gear?

  • @spotter shit news, will certainly keep eyes peeled for this! Rest up buddy

  • Christ... hadn't seen this, heal up soon @spotter

  • EBB, this is the one 9 so designed to run single speed with their own BB but they also include routing and a mech hanger if gears are required. It's also beefed up a bit so it's stiffer than the air 9. Do pay for that with a weight penalty though. Frame came in at over 1600g naked with no BB insert or anything.

  • Shit. Hope you heal up @spotter and get your bike back.

  • Fingers crossed for spotter, so awful

  • Having some issues with the crankarm rubbing the FD when on the big ring. Hope to solve this over the weekend!

  • Advices?

  • Don't rake.
    Lou Reed wouldn't rake.

  • Are SRAM GXP self-extracting bolts all the same? Some say M15/M26 and some others say M15/M22. Bought the cranks second-hand and the person obviously lost the bolt so I can't compare

  • Some say M15/M26 and some others say M15/M22

There's your clue. All the bolts which go into the axle are M15 (i.e. 15mm nominal over the crests of the thread), but the cap which goes into the crank and retains the bolt for extraction purposes is either M22 or M26 depending on the crank model. I think the M26 is generally for carbon cranks, but it's easy enough to measure the cranks if you have them in front of you to find out exactly which one you need. If the hole it goes into is ~20mm internal, it's M22, if it's ~24mm it's M26

  • Advices?

Get matching tyres. Other than that sick bike!

  • @Flandria just curious, what year are the campag cranks?

  • the front is new, the rear is two months old. They are of the same color, the back has just taken the sun and the rain.

  • 1985, so they should have the extra clearance for the FD lip.

  • Is this BB fucked? I was going to swap from one bike to another (whose BB is grinding). This one spins freely but is encrusted with gunk on the outside. Was going to just clean the shit out of it but if it's going to seize or rust up the shell or something I won't bother.

It's come out of an aluminium frame and will be going into a steel one

  • If you clean it up it'll be easier for you to tell.

  • Now with gears (Zee) and separate handlebar/stem combo.

  • I have received the M10 fine thread (M10x1) nuts from eBay to replace the missing serrated bolts from my rear track hub - £1.99 for 5 delivered. Link here

(Condor was after £4 a piece for Miche ones they had in stock )

Fits perfectly and in A4 stainless steel so no rust.

    Thanks @mdcc_tester for the advice!
