As many 650b MTB wheels are made with a 10 speed freehubs body, mean 11 speed won’t work.
Except recently Shimano release a 11-34t Ultegra cassette that spaced out for 10 speed, meaning with the new Ultegra R8000 rear derailleur or even the 105 5800 long cage, you can have not only a normal MTB rear wheel but in a wide range.
The catch? The 11-34t cassette is expensive.
