• It struck me the other day as I was trying to cross a pedestrian crossing in Shepherd's Bush and dodging some teenagers blasting through the red light how the demographics of people cycling has changed. It used to be that if you saw other cyclists on your commute chances were they were other 'cyclists', either roadies, fixed gear riders or just hardened commuters. It really feels those old tribes have been outnumbered now. It's great that there are people who just don't think anything of it and just get on a bike and ride and feel they have every right to be on the road. Hopefully in time some kind of decent standard of riding will be established though because atm it feels completely chaotic.
