fair enough, a-to-c the same, essentially there is a fork I want but only comes in 43mm rake, the current one is 45mm.its 40mm not 45mm. Drastic difference?

Still insignificant, given how people change their trail by more than that by changing tyre size and pressure. If you can detect a pea under the mattress you might be able to tell the difference in back to back testing of 40 vs. 45 if you kept everything else exactly the same. I can't even tell the difference between 30 and 43, but maybe I'm an insensitive brute.

Assuming the axle to crown length is unchanged, changing front tyre pressure by 5psi will be more noticeable.
