Ethernet from router golden. It's the WiFi. Also tried different channels with various improvements and impairments, but never satisfactory results.
I bought a Unifi AP (I can find out exactly which one), switched the built in WiFi off and plugged that into one of the ethernet ports on the router. Proper fast and faultless connection everywhere in the house.

Do these UNIFI APs do anything other than boost broadcast signal from an ethernet source? I.e., port forwarding?
