  • Nah the only human food she ever wants is the occasion bit of spinach or hummus. She has weird chicken liver pate for delicate stomach

  • Don’t really know what I’ve made but it smells good.

  • that looks yum. A+ for styling too.

  • Because.. Instagram. Looks a++

  • Does food taste incrementally better with every like?

  • That looks amazing. How was it?

  • What was that tofu people were posting about a while ago? There was a mango one and some basil thing and some other flavours...

    EDIT: found it, Taifun.

  • Taifun. Can be found in my local ‘health’ food place - as well as many other independents.

  • This was lush.

I didn't make it myself but chef's notes are:

"Bear in mind that I only put in 1.5 large cloves of garlic in that sauce & then had to at least double the hummus to weaken it a bit. I'd say one small clove is all that's needed.
I did the optional peppers. I didn't put dill on the veg, just in the sauce"

  • It sounds pretty decent. I want to try as many smoked ones as possible...

  • It was fucking delicious. I ate it all. With some alpro blueberry soya-yoghurty-stuff. Then felt sick from being such a greedy slob.

  • Pretty strong endorsement right there. There's some pseudo health food shops round our ends now so I'll keep an eye open for this stuff.

Trying to be healthy at the moment and reduce carbs but I'm grossed out at how much meat that potentially involves. Suspect it's going to be a shitload of fish and tofu instead.

  • Can get 99% of taifun stuff in Waitrose for a fraction of health food shop prices. They’re all delicious.

  • Except their hot dogs which are drier than a very dry thing

  • Hi Edmundro, which CoOp? Wood st, Markhouse or the new one at Blackhorse Rd?

  • One way to reduce carbs is not to have them as a separate item on the plate,
eat beans/pulses for the protein, and the slow release carbs come gratis.

  • More things to worry about than carbs / protein

  • I'm going to Berlin in a week: does anyone have any recommendations for places to eat?

  • What, like how* I'm going to eat 13 jumbo sort-of-snoasage-rolls (tip of the hat to @edmundro, these are a bit more like Spring Rolls, but Autumny with my haul of sweet chestnuts).

    *Like a greedy sod

  • Ooo they look good! I need to make spring rolls soon..

@Shandoom it was the Billet Rd branch but have seen them in a couple of other ones since. In the freefrom section, not the sweetie bit.

  • Has anyone had Oumph! yet? Liz had it in burger form in Gothenburg over the weekend and said it’s pretty good.
Think WholeFoods are selling it in a few branches.

  • Girlfriend's bday is coming up, reccomendations on nice veggie/vegan restaurant's that aren't mildred's?
