  • On the comparison between cars and guns, in Nevada to drive a car you need to pass a vision test, a written test, and a driving skills test, in addition to providing proof of residency and identity, and of course you must have all this information recorded and present on an ID card any time you are driving. To own a gun in Nevada you need ID and $25 for a background check. Provided you're not a felon or an abusive spouse (at least so far as the law knows) you can purchase as many guns, magazines, and ammunition as you like. You don't need to know anything about how they work or even be judged to be physically capable of using one safely. And you can then carry them around in public as long as you'd like.
