My Athena levers are not good at all for gravel grinding ..... Had to maintenance them every 300km .... And the rear derailleur is not made for how I ride
I have to admit, it's not the best idea if you want to shred it. But good enough for light gravel roads. -

until something goes wrong
TBH, Di2 is that easy to sort out, I do like servicing bicycle with Di2 as all I need to do is diagnostic it and make sure it's updated.
The only thing I dislike about Di2 is that I can't exactly put the derailleurs in the part washer...

Easy. Plug the port (I keep the caps from new batteries) and you're good to go. Obviously don't drown the bastard, but I've experimented with some damaged ones and they've worked flawlessly after a good wash.

Obviously don't drown the bastard.
That kinda what I do, put all the stuff in a small box (with holes drilled under it to allow liquid to drain), and let it wash for a good while, while I clean and recabled the bike.

It's basically a road bike then?
-
• #1449
It's an all-road bike. That wafer-thin space between a road bike and a gravel bike. I quite fancy one myself.

Perfect for summer #sportgrus Neil. You're in the wrong country though.
Di2 is very good. You might need to do some fiddling to discover where a cable has disconnected or broken, but that's so so vastly less frequent that having to replace cables that it barely counts as a worry.
eTap is significantly better for that very reason. Wireless is the future.
