I'd trust a fellow TNRCer's recommendation. Has this been tested though? Not just Google's "interesting cycle route option"?
Yeah, I'd usually suggest doing a daylight recce first. I think @cgg has ridden it and I'd trust his judgement on how it will ride at night.
