Recently picked up this gawdy little number from @adam77
It's a Dawes Quest, 1989 — a slouchy 531 tubed, parts bin special. 1x10 SRAM
Been riding it this week, lots of fun of fun but feels like I need to raise the bars. I've forked out on a flashy new, mug dangle points Velo Orange Cigne stem which I'm struggling to get to play nicely with the current stem converter (not enough purchase via single pinch bolt.). VO sell their own knurled stem converter for ~£40. I imagine it will be alright with a long stem expander bolt going through stem through to stem converter expander ...
Still to come; work around for stem, fit guards, all-road friendly tyres.
